Passenger In Automobile Crash Dies On Jones Loop Road In Charlotte County
Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one passenger has died after an auto accident in Charlotte County On Saturday Night.
According to the report by FHP, the fatal crash began as a sport utility vehicle was traveling east on Jones Loop Road driven by a man age 68 from the United Kingdom and a female passenger age 67 also from the United Kingdom.
The second vehicle, a pickup truck was driven by a man age 23 from Port Charlotte, Florida.
The sport utility vehicle was on the left turn lane approaching Interstate 75. The pick-up truck was traveling west on Jones Loop Road, on the left lane, approaching Interstate 75.
At 12:21 P.M. The sport Utility vehicle turned left in front of the pickup truck, the front of the pickup truck collided with the right side of the sport utility vehicle.
The sport utility vehicle and the passenger were transported to an area hospital and pronounced deceased.
The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
