Cape Coral Woman Killed in Crash on Burnt Store Road
Lee County, FL — June 3, 2025 — A tragic collision claimed the life of a 56-year-old woman from Cape Coral Tuesday evening in a crash involving a Ford sedan and a semi-truck along County Road 765 (Burnt Store Road), near Vincent Avenue.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving southbound around 5:05 p.m. when she lost control on wet pavement. Her sedan rotated and veered into the northbound lane, where it was struck on the side by a semi-truck hauling a car trailer.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities have not released her name but confirmed her family has been notified.
The truck was driven by a 42-year-old man from Hialeah, with a 24-year-old passenger from Miami. Both men suffered minor injuries and were reportedly wearing seatbelts. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
